 | La Basse Rouerie is a traditional Breton farmhouse and Longere that dates back 600 years in parts.
It has two and a half acres of gardens with open views over undulating farmland.
There is a private patio area for all 4 gites which includes garden furniture, sun canopy and a BBQ.
Plus there is a communal patio area with a brick BBQ, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the kids play. We have had many an enjoyable evening with a BBQ and a few drinks.
The above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard. It is heated and maintained at around 30-32 degrees. The pool is open from May - September.
There is a badminton net, swings, boules pit, swing ball, football net, and basketball net in the gardens, along with numerous games.
In the covered veranda area there is table soccer, darts and numerous board games. |
Apple Tree Cottage: (sleeps 2) This is a really romantic cottage full of character.
The comfortable lounge has an arched granite door and windows, exposed oak beams and huge granite inglenook fireplace with a log burner. The well equipped kitchen has vaulted ceilings and double doors that leads to a private patio area, with garden furniture, sun canopy and BBQ. On the 1st floor there is a large open plan bedroom with granite walls and exposed oak beams and en-suite shower room.
Plum Tree Cottage: (sleeps 4) The ground floor consists of a comfortable open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area with a log burner, some granite walls and exposed oak, so Mum doesn't feel left out of the holiday and stuck in the kitchen. The kitchen has a door leading to a covered veranda. The 1st floor has a shower room and 2 bedrooms, a large double bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds both with granite walls and exposed oak beams.There is a separate patio with garden furniture, sun canopy and a BBQ |  |
 | Cherry Tree Cottage: (sleeps 6) The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining area, designed so the whole family can join in with the holiday.
It is a bright sunny room with 3 large picture windows, exposed oak beams, it also has a log burner in the lounge area. The 1st floor has a shower room and 3 bedrooms, 2 double rooms and a room with bunk beds all have granite walls and exposed oak beams.
There is a separate patio at the side of the gîte, with garden furniture, sun canopy and a BBQ.
Pear Tree Cottage: (sleeps 8) This cottage has lots of original features like an arched granite doorway and huge exposed oak beams. The comfortable open plan lounge/ dining area has a log burner and some granite walls. The well equipped kitchen area has double doors that open onto a covered veranda.The 1st floor has a shower room and 4 bedrooms, 2 double rooms one with an en-suite, a twin - bedded room and and 1 room with bunk beds. Mellé is about an hours drive from the port of St Malo, this is also an excellent place to visit, with a walled town and miles of sandy beaches and hidden coves.
Half and hour takes you to Mont Saint Michel the 2nd most visited place in France, Fougeres with its Chateau and St Hilaire a lively market town.
We are also near to water parks, beaches and numerous attractions.
