 | Manoir de Caillemont is an imposing stone structure of historic significance. On the coast of Normandy, just opposite the Channel Islands, this 18th century manor house (dating from 1720) has rooms that reflect the period but are decorated with refined taste and modern conveniences. Take special notice of carved woodwork and moldings with various decorations such as ribbons, interlacing, arrows and quivers, masks and musical instruments. It is a charming and comfortable chambres d'hôtes whose host and hostess, Catherine and Eric Fouché, eagerly and warmly welcome guests. The location of the manoir is perfect as well ~ not far at all from the west facing Channel coast with easy access to resort towns and the Channel Island ferries.

Named for the Channel Islands, they are Suite Jersey with a lovely room and a salon whose walls are of rich 18th century paneling, Suite Guernesey with a queen bed, two twins and a salon, Chambre Aurigny which has handicapped access and accommodates three people in a double and single bed, and finally, Chambre Sark, offering a double bed in a cozy retreat accessed up a spiral staircase. Guests will enjoy the convenience of a "coffee shop" at the manoir where they can enjoy a light mid-day meal, and dinner is served in the dining room with advance reservations. Of course, it goes without saying that a delightful French breakfast awaits guests each morning!
