 | ‘Au Marcassin’ is a 2 bedroomed gîte with lovely views down the valley. You reach the front door up steep steps from the road. The main living room is L-shaped and contains a dining area with table and 4 chairs, a relaxing area with a sofa-bed, coffee table and 3 armchairs and the kitchen area with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, double sink, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and a good supply of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
The bathroom has a shower, bidet, sink and cupboard. All towels and bathmats supplied. The toilet is off the bathroom.
The double bedroom has bedside tables and lamps, hanging rail and chest of drawers. The twin room also has bedside tables and lamps, a full size wardrobe, cupboards and chairs. Mattresses in both rooms are new.
There are 2 portable fans to move where needed in very hot weather. There is an effective electric fire in the fireplace of the main room for chilly evenings. |
| Around the corner from ‘Au Marcassin’ is a barn which has been converted to provide extra facilities for guests in the 2 gîtes. The laundry room contains washing machines, driers, a double sink, an airing rack and ironing facilities (there is an iron and ironing board in your gîte as well) There are 7 bikes in the barn for guests to borrow. The local countryside is very pretty and there are lots of small back roads and official bridleways (but it is quite hilly!) The main room is dedicated to games and is for children (and adults!) if the weather turns wet. There is a table-tennis table, table football, desks, chairs, board games and jigsaws. |  |
 | The 2 gîtes overlook a large sloping field. At the top is hardstanding for guests’ cars and next to this is a boules pitch (there is a set of boules in the gîte and rules in case you’ve never played)
Below this is the ‘espace baignade’ an 8mx4m swimming pool disguised as a natural pond. The constantly circulating water is cleansed by special plants and so is free from chemicals. There are chairs, table, parasol and sun loungers around the pool for you to use. Below the pool is a sanded play area with swings, balance beam, somersault bars and slide.
The rest of the field can be used for investigating butterflies, lizards, grasshoppers and wildflowers. It is edged by fruit trees so depending on the season you can help yourself to peaches, apricots, cherries, plums or apples.
