 | Juniper Cottage,on the border of the Aggtelek National Park in the picturesque village of Tornaszentandrás, has two bedrooms and sleeps a family of six. It has a kitchen, dining room, shower room and WC. Its large garden has a sheltered dining/barbecue area, children's swing and an orchard of plum and walnut trees. Thick walls keep the property cool in summer, while wood-burning stoves in each room provide warmth in winter. The cottage was built in 1897 and sensitively renovated 100 years later. Between the ceiling beams in one of the bedrooms you can still pick out five bullet holes, made by the gun of a Russian soldier in the First World War. Each one is reassuringly small, and they remain a mute testimony to the history of the place. As with the furniture and bedding in the cottage, the food we can provide is produced locally. Your Tour Central representative, who lives nearby, can supply fresh milk, bread, meat, cheese, honey and other local organic produce. |

Coupled to this, we have a range of high-quality bicycles, tandems and child seats, and the maps, information and know-how to help you get the most from your holiday. As well as cycling and walking, the area is of interest to anyone who likes fishing, wildlife, canoeing and backcountry skiing. We can arrange visits to local vineyards and museums near the guesthouse, which is a fine place for a barbecue and a siesta. Finally, we can arrange transfers to and from Tornaszentandrás, where you will pick up your key, unpack once, and enjoy a relaxing and fulfilling break in Hungary.
