We have realized a dream: where there were a stall and a barn, there is now Locanda del Moro; a calm and sunny place where to enjoy in peace the time of the vacations
A place loaded of atmosphere, a swimming pool that dominates the valley, the bread done in the firewood oven and my jams.
In Locanda del Moro there are two independent apartments with the entry on the earth plan: “The Lonfo” and “The Ormasso.” We have called them with names of creatures been born by the imagination of characters that loved and frequented the Garfagnana. Outside, adjacent to the entry, there is a barbecue where our guests can cook and eat. Every lodging is endowed with a kitchen complete of microwaves oven and dishwasher. The furnishing is that typical of the country house with particular attention to the recovery of furniture in style. There are two double rooms, a matrimonial and one with two beds transformable in matrimonial, bath and zone day with bed-sofa. |
| La Locanda del Moro is an ancient stone country house completely restructured on top of a panoramic hill near the middle age village of Sillico. Here you can stay in two apartments carefully furnishes and dipped in the nature, you can relax around the swimming pool admiring the splendid panorama and to taste the tipical Tuscany and Garfagnana kitchen.During the stay in the Locanda del Moro, the guests can choose to descover Garfagnana with long walks directly departing from the Sillico or to cross lines of trekking along the slopes of the Alps Apuane or the Appennino, to know from near the small suburbs of mountain, to see the animals of the wood, to observe the flight of Poiana and the Aquila Reale that still nests on the Pania of Corfino inside the Natural Park of the Orecchiella. We will suggest the most proper runs and when in demand we will accompany our guests in the excursions programmed of mountain bike, trekking, canyoning and speleo. |  |
 | To the ancient visitors coming from North, overcoming the sinuous apenninic profile, Garfagnana appeared as a green basin overhung by the splendid profile of Alpi Apuane. Garfagnana in the time has not suffered radicals transformations and its beauty has arrived intact up to us thanks also to the creation of two parks that have stimulated the development of a qualified tourism. Close to the sporting activities tied up to the mountain, a careful tourism has known how to rediscover the medieval suburbs that populate the zone. Places and people, slow rhythms of a country civilization that also today allows to rediscover typical products as farro, flour of chestnuts, mushrooms and the production of bagged and cheeses of quality, tutto frutto of an increasing attention toward the tradition and the biological crop.
