The villas are situated in a quiet area of Calan Porter only 5 minutes away from the main shopping and restaurants area. They form a little square in the centre of which is the large heated swimming pool. Calan Porter's sandy beach is within 7 minutes walk away. |
The Swimming Pool which is 10 metres x 6 metres
The pool which has recently been refurbished is just under a metre in depth at the shallow end and about 1.75 metre at the deepest part. Tiled steps lead into it at the shallow end. Heating has been installed which will be operational during the months of April, May, June, late September and October onwards. To retain the heat the pool is covered with a pool cover which is rolled up during the day. This is an essential item in conserving the water heat but it is an expensive and delicate piece of equipment. It is therefore essential that the clients accept the responsibility for its maintenance and make sure that the children and all members of their party take care of it. |  |
 | Menorca is the most easterly of the Balearic Islands and is quieter than the other islands such as Majorca and Ibiza. It has more idyllic sandy beaches than the other two combined. Some may be difficult to find and these are often the beaches which have become bird sanctuaries and areas of ecological interest.
Cala'n Porter, one of the first holiday resorts to be developed on the island, has something to offer everyone. Situated on the south coast of Menorca and only 10 minutes away from the airport, it has a lovely sandy beach which is ideal for swimming or simply for relaxing while the young children build sand castles or the older energetic family members play ball games on the firmer sand towatds the back of the beach.
Pedalos, beach umbrellas and loungers are available for hire and on the paved promenade there are restaurants to provide meals, drinks and snacks. |
