50/50 share milkers manage our two farm properties, milking a total of 420 cows. We also grow citrus fruit and breed a small flock of black and coloured sheep.
Our Red Barn Craft Shop is now leased and houses a new gift-shop with the Cafe / Restaurant now licensed. Guests can walk to a New Zealand award winning chefs restaurant. Meals also available at the homestead. |
Three bends to town
Three bends in the road and you are in the coastal township of Whakatane (4 miles away) - a district rich in Maori history (one of the first Maori canoes landed here). Also close to Ohope Beach where the Godwits migrate and the dodder ells nest in the sand dunes, undisturbed by swimmers and surfies. Golf clubs at Whakatane and Ohope are nearby.
Volcano
We recommend a visit to White Island, an active volcano 30 miles off shore, accessible by boat or helicopter, or you can go swimming with the dolphins or relax in the Awakeri Hot Springs. |  |
