Decks are on three sides of the house overlooking a garden planted with mainly native species. Heating and cooling are provided by a heat pump. The kitchen has gas hob with extractor, electric oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and water filter. There is off-street parking.

Richmond itself, 14 km from Nelson, is situated between the Richmond Ranges and Tasman Bay . It provides good shopping facilities in its Mall and main street and there is a variety of restaurants, cafes and takeaway outlets. The nearest beaches are 10 minutes drive . It is an excellent base from which to explore all the northern part of the South Island. |  |
 | Nearby Nelson, at the geographical centre of NZ, is renowned for its hours of sunshine and features many examples of early settler and art deco architecture. It provides entertainment, many excellent restaurants and pavement cafes . The work of its thriving artistic community of painters, potters and craftsmen is always on view and it is home to the unique Wearable Arts Exhibition. A colourful open-air market takes place weekly and there is an abundance of local wineries to be visited. |
