The villa lies in an elevated position in a quiet cul-de-sac at the foot of the hills above Vale
Formoso (which means "beautiful valley" in Portuguese) on the outskirts of Almancil in the central
Algarve. It is eight miles from Faro airport (15 minutes by taxi) and four miles (10 minutes by car) from the beaches at Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. It is also within easy reach of the lovely old Moorish market town of Loulé and the still unspoilt scenery in the hills further inland
