The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (Spanish: Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico) is a commonwealth of the United States located east of the Dominican Republic in the northeastern Caribbean. Puerto Rico, the smallest of the Greater Antilles, includes the main island of Puerto Rico and a number of smaller islands and keys, including Mona, Vieques, and Culebra.
Puerto Rico is mostly mountains, with coastal plain belt in north; mountains precipitous to sea on west coast; sandy beaches along most coastal areas. Many small rivers and high central mountains ensure land is well watered; south coast relatively dry; fertile coastal plain belt in north. There are some beautiful beaches on the western side of the island are Jobos Beach, Maria's Beach, Domes Beach and Sandy Beach.
The Weather is Tropical marine, mild; little seasonal temperature variation. Temperatures range from 70F to 90F, and tend to be lower at night and up in the mountains.
