Duisary

In Gairloch, Highlands

Enjoy the wamth of true West Coast hospitality in this modernised crofthouse on the outskirts of the remote village of Gairloch, with its superb views over the sea to the Western Isles and across to the beautiful Torridon mountains.

Isabel Mackenzie has been providing bed and breakfast to holidaymakers and other travellers in her family home for many years, and knows just how to make them feel welcome. Her warm and comfortable bedrooms all have their own TV and tea/coffee-making facilities, and there's another TV for visitors in the lovely lounge.
Gairloch makes a perfect holiday base, and is an ideal spot for hill walking, birdwatching, fishing, or just relaxing. It has a 9-hole golf course, safe sandy beaches, and is close to the beautiful National Trust garden at Inverewe.

Gairloch has its own award-winning Heritage Museum, a library, shops and galleries, and a wide choice of places to eat and drink during the summer season.

For youngsters, as well as the beaches and varied sports facilities at the leisure centre, there's pony trekking and a swimming pool within easy reach. Boats can be chartered at the harbour, or you can take a fishing trip or a wildlife safari to look for seals and porpoises in the loch.
