An annex to a traditional stonebuilt house with 6 acres of croft land stretching down to the Atlantic shoreline and fresh water loch with boating or bank fishing available to guests.
Glorious sunsets can be captured from the house or shore. An ideal setting for exploring the island as there are many places of interest in the surrounding area. The house is part of a crofting village where Gaelic is the everyday language. We are fortunate to have nature on the doorstep - Corncrakes can be heard calling by day or night between May and July.
We offer you all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well equipped and tastefully decorated.

The ground floor bedroom consists of a double / family room with en-suite facilities. (Spacious bedrooms on the upper floor consisting of one twin and one double, are available on request.)
All rooms have colour television.
Accommodation is fully furnished, well equipped, and decorated to a high standard. Linen and towels are provided. Full central heating and cooking by gas and electricity is inclusive in the price. A high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times.

FISHING ON LEWIS
There are many freshwater lochs on the Island of Lewis, in excess of 1,000, with the vast majority home to our wild brown trout. The trout vary in size, some only a few ounces but many up to several pounds. The season opens on the 15th March and closes on the 6th October. Fishing for brown trout is free on most lochs, but there are a few lochs set aside for estate owners and their guests.
Listed below is some additional information for the adventurous angler:
Stornoway: Permits for salmon and sea trout fishing in River Creed, Loch Clachan and Loch an Eis, approx 5 miles from town, cost £22 with boat. Further details can be obtained by contacting the Stornoway Trust Office.
Garnahine: Grimersta belongs to Grimersta Estate Ltd, who occasionally have salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing for individuals and small parties. Further information from Head Keeper.
Uig: Salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing on Scaliscro and North Eisken Estates.
