 | Pippins Holiday Cottage is a superb converted granary set in its own private garden area in the grounds of the farm, and has commanding views over the Ithon Valley.
It offers comfortable, non-smoking accommodation for up to four in a double en-suite and a twin-bedded room with separate shower room. Linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide range of cooking utensils and matching crockery and cutlery. It has an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The spacious lounge has comfy sofas, a TV, video and radio/CD player. Weather permitting, you can eat in the open air on the patio or enjoy a barbecue in the grounds.

Situated in our grounds of 92 acres is the site of the Norman Cefnllys Castle which occupies a position of strength and beauty at the top of Castle Bank.
The Castle, also known as 'Clastell Glan Ithon', was built by Roger Mortimer, and played its part in border skirmishes between the Welsh and English. This castle was destroyed during fighting in 1262. and replaced with a more substantial one at the South West tip of the hill which survived until the late 1400s when the Manorial Court was transferred to the Neuadd.
The castle was supported by the small town of Cefnllys, built at the base of the hill. When the castle became a ruin, the town gradually disappeared and now only the 13th Century church remains. |  |

The Neuadd is a Grade 2 listed building and there are some restrictions with access.
Self Catering
The door to the cottage is approached by climbing up five wide steps, however, there is a handrail on the left hand side. There is a further step from the porch to the front door. Once inside the cottage, the bedrooms and shower rooms are on the ground floor. The lounge and kitchen are on the first floor, with access up a wooden staircase, having a banister on the right hand side. The upstairs is open plan with a laminate floor. |
