The cottages are situated 5 miles from the M4 motorway - The corridor to South and West Wales. Newport and Cardiff are within 15 minutes drive. Nearby Castles include Chepstow, Raglan, Cardiff, Penhow, Caerphilly and many more.
We are situated on the side of a small mountain which offers the walker lots of opportunities to either stroll around the farm and local area, or for the more adventurous, as a base to embark on many walks.
Cyclists are also well catered for. We are at a junction between two major cycle routes following the network of canals in the area and the Sirhowy Valley also Cwmcarn Scenic Drive Mountain Bike Trail. Fishing and Horse riding can also be arranged in the area.
For the Golfer, South Wales has a spectacular choice of Golf Courses, including the Celtic Manor Resort home of the Wales Open & host to the 2010 Ryder Cup

How to get to us?
Take junction 27 off the M4, follow the B4591 to High Cross.
Follow signs over roundabouts to RISCA.
Just after 3rd roundabout take the right up PONTYMASON LANE
following the signs to RISCA Leisure Centre.
1 mile up, straight on at mini roundabout at Leisure Centre.
Take the next right, sign posted "Leading to Mountside"
Bear left and go into lane.
At T junction, follow our sign & turn left up the hill.
Don't turn off for 1 mile.
