From fireplaces to cosy living areas to gourmet kitchens filled with dozens of breakfast foods and your favourite beverages, you may feel as though your own mom had prepared for your stay.
You can enjoy dining in the kitchen, in a roomy, cushioned dining area, or outdoors overlooking our lush garden.
We provide a selection of classic movies that can be viewed in the living room or the bedroom, or you can just enjoy some light background music on our full entertainment system.

The office areas in all three apartments include a computer with MS Office and high-speed cable Internet access, as well as a scanner, fax, and black-and-white laser printer. Low-cost colour laser printing is available via our wireless network, and a photocopier and CD writer are also provided in each office. A colour inkjet printer is provided in our garden unit, China Doll III, and colour laser printing is available in our main office (2/3 of a block away) accessible via the network.
In the garden unit, China Doll III, a conference area seats four and is equipped with an overhead projector and a wall-mounted television with computer hook-up that allows you to make presentations from your own notebook computer. China Doll I and II, our larger units, also have ample space for meetings and spreading out your work.
Ample stationery is provided for your printing and mailing needs.

The world-famous Steppenwolf Theatre Company is home to such ground breaking actors as Gary Sinise, John Malkovich, and John Mahoney, and is a star of our neighbourhood. Other premier stage performances are presented at the Belmont Theatre and the Briar Street Theatre, the original home of Blue Man Group.
Chicago is famous for the blues, and our neighbourhood offers two great places to hear authentic blues — Kingston Mines and Chicago Blue, both just a two-block walk from the China Doll. Thriving Lincoln Park also offers dozens of other places to hear great music, dance, drink, dine, and make your stay in Chicago a memorable one. |
